About Helping Hands

Helping Hands is a student-led group at Miami Beach Senior High School that uses innovation, technology, and kindness to make a difference in people’s lives - whether it’s teaching STEM skills to underrepresented groups in their community or helping to make prosthetic hands for the poor around the world.


Our projects include:

e-NABLE hand recipient 3.jpg

Starting a club and an Eagle Scout project to teach students to make 3D-printed prosthetic hands for e-NABLE, an engineering charity that distributes working hand devices to amputees worldwide.

Teaching 3D printing skills to high school girls and minorities who went on to made hundreds of plastic facial shields for first responders on the frontlines of the Covid-19 pandemic.


Mentoring low-income and English-as-a-second language students in coding, robotics, and electronics in elementary and middle school, in partnership with the City of Miami Beach STEAM+ program. Helping Hands is the only student-run partnership selected by the City.
