Our Projects
We aim to create a community of students educated with skills that benefit themselves, others, and their community.
Prosthetic Hands
Our ongoing effort to teach students to make 3D parts and assemble prosthetic hands, under the certification of the engineering charity e-NABLE. We arrange for them to be distributed free to those in need anywhere in the world.
Holocaust Education
Our ongoing effort to use documentary filmmaking to get students to closely identify with a Holocaust victim or hero to create empathy and spread kindness.
Food Collection
Helping Hands was able to organize a food collection and donate hundreds of cans of food for relief throughout Haiti, following a recent earthquake.
STEAM+ 2020
A continuation of our STEAM+ 2019 project, STEAM+ 2020 was redesigned in order to be Covid-19 friendly, which meant virtual classes. The project was to mentor 6th graders at Nautilus Middle school about science, electronics, and 3D design/printing.
STEAM+ 2019
Our first project is our 2019 STEAM+ Project. The project was to mentor 3rd-grade students at a Title 1 elementary school, Biscayne Beach Elementary, about robotics and coding.
Face Shields
In response to the Covid-19 Pandemic, Helping Hands decided to do something and help. Members of Helping Hands volunteered to produce plastic face shields for first responders, food distribution volunteers, and teachers.
